Mamuju. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo responded to the Constitutional Court's (MK) decision regarding the 2024 presidential election dispute, stating that allegations of government support for Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto were not proven.

"The government respects the final and binding decision of the Constitutional Court and the legal considerations of the Court's decision, which also states that the allegations against the government, such as cheating, intervention of authorities, politicization of social assistance (bansos), mobilization of authorities, and the non-neutrality of regional heads, have been proven false," Jokowi said during his visit to Mamuju, West Sulawesi, on Tuesday.

Jokowi urged the people to unite, work, and build the country amidst external geopolitical factors, such as the Middle East conflict involving Israel, Iran, and Palestine, which are pressuring all countries.

Furthermore, Jokowi said that the government supports the transition process to the new government of Prabowo Subianto and his running mate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is Jokowi's eldest son.

The General Election Commission (KPU) is scheduled to formally declare Prabowo Subianto as the elected president on Wednesday. Prabowo and Gibran will then be inaugurated on October 20.

Prabowo and Gibran won the election with 58 percent of the vote, according to the national tally announced on March 20.

However, their campaign celebrations were put on hold following legal challenges from rival candidates Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo, who sought to annul the result and demand a revote.

The plaintiffs alleged widespread voter fraud, favoritism, and perceived government support that purportedly gave an unfair advantage to Prabowo and Gibran.

In a 5-3 vote on Monday, the Constitutional Court ruled that both Anies and Ganjar had failed to present compelling evidence and credible witnesses to support their claims, thereby rejecting their motion in its entirety.
