Solo. Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the running mate to candidate Prabowo Subianto, is hoping that the voting process goes well as hundreds of millions of Indonesians across the archipelago cast their votes on Wednesday.

Gibran and his wife Selvi Ananda arrived at the polling station in Solo at around 11 a.m. Gibran only gave a short reply when asked by reporters to comment on whether the election would only take place in a single round.

“Just pray that everything goes well,” Gibran, who currently serves as the Solo mayor, told the press.

Gibran said that there was no special reason why he chose to vote just sometime before noon.

“Well, there’s nothing wrong with it. Voting in the morning or afternoon is the same. There are no special preparations,” Gibran said.

Gibran also did not say much about his plans for the day after casting his vote.

“After voting, I will go home. I don’t think I will go anywhere. We’ll see if I will go [to Kertanegara or Istora],” Prabowo said.

Kertanegara is the location of Prabowo’s residence. Prabowo is scheduled to attend a quick count screening in Istora Senayan later today.
