Family Reunion: Prabowo Posts Photo of Dinner with Titiek Soeharto and Son
Jakarta. Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto shared a photograph with his 12.2 million Instagram followers on Tuesday, showing him having dinner with his former wife, Siti Hediati Hariyadi, more popularly known as Titiek Soeharto, and their son, Didit Hediprasetyo.
In the picture, Prabowo, the likely winner of the Feb. 14 presidential election, is seen enjoying his meal while Titiek looks on, with their son seated between them.
The exact time and location of the photo are not specified.
While the photo carries no caption, it quickly triggered speculation in the comment section that Prabowo may reunite with his wife, possibly as the future First Lady.
“I’m anticipating a happy ending after this,” commented one follower. Another wrote, “Please you two reunite, that’s what matters the most.”
The photo also received 1.1 million likes just before midnight.
Titiek is the second daughter of the late Soeharto, Indonesia’s longest-serving president. She was married to army officer Prabowo in 1983, but the marriage ended after Soeharto resigned following nationwide protests against his authoritarian rule in 1998.
Although Titiek has dismissed the prospect of remarrying Prabowo in several interviews, the 64-year-old has been actively participating in Prabowo’s presidential campaigns since he attempted to win the presidency in 2014.
Prabowo, who was defeated by Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in 2014 and 2019, made his third attempt with Jokowi’s son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as his running mate. The pair is projected to win the election by around 58 percent of the vote, according to the provisional vote tally.
