Jakarta. The selection process for Prabowo Subianto's cabinet is set to continue on Tuesday afternoon, as he prepares to summon more ministerial candidates to his residence on Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta.

Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, announced that two ministerial candidates are scheduled to arrive at 2:00 p.m. He also said that Prabowo plans to call all candidates for deputy ministers and agency heads to his home.

When asked about the possibility of candidates from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) being invited on Tuesday, Sufmi Dasco refrained from giving a definitive answer.

PDI-P officials have suggested a potential meeting between Prabowo and PDI-P Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri to discuss collaboration, but as of Tuesday, that meeting has not yet occurred.

Politicians from PKS and the National Democratic Party (Nasdem), who supported Anies Baswedan against Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election, were absent from the meeting. However, Prabowo said, "Maybe you just didn’t notice because the candidate proposed by PKS is a professional," when questioned about their representation.

Nasdem has stated that it will not propose any of its executives for cabinet positions and will work alongside the coalition outside of the cabinet. Both parties have declared their support for Prabowo's administration following their loss in the election.

Meanwhile, Muhaimin Iskandar, chairman of the National Awakening Party and Anies' running mate, fulfilled Prabowo's invitation on Monday.

Dasco emphasized that the summoned candidates are not guaranteed positions in Prabowo's cabinet, as they have the right to consider his offer. He said that various possibilities could arise before the inauguration on Sunday.

Prabowo has already invited 49 individuals to his residence, including politicians, experts, academics, and active officials from President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's administration.

Prabowo is expected to unveil his cabinet shortly after being inaugurated as Indonesia’s eighth president on October 20. Reports suggest that the cabinet will consist of 46 ministries, including 41 sectoral ministries and five coordinating ministries.
