Jakarta. Pertamina Patra Niaga, the fuel distribution arm of Indonesia’s state energy company Pertamina, has cut the prices of three non-subsidized gasoline products effective Aug. 1, 2026, while diesel prices remain unchanged.

The company lowered prices for Pertamax, Pertamax Green 95 and Pertamax Turbo as part of its regular monthly review. Prices for Dexlite and Pertamina Dex were kept at their previous levels.

Kitty Andhora, Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, said the adjustment was made in line with government direction and took into account global crude oil prices, the rupiah exchange rate and consumer purchasing power.

“The move is also part of efforts to ensure the availability of national fuel supplies for the public,” Kitty said in a statement on Saturday.

The price cuts come as Pertamina faces growing competition from privately operated fuel stations, including BP, the British oil major.

For Jakarta and surrounding areas, where the regional motor fuel tax, or PBBKB, is 5%, the following prices are effective from Aug. 1:

Pertamina

Pertamax Turbo: Rp18,300 per liter

Pertamax Green 95: Rp16,600 per liter

Pertamax: Rp15,950 per liter

Pertalite: Rp10,000 per liter

Dexlite: Rp19,700 per liter

Pertamina Dex: Rp21,150 per liter

BP

BP 92: Rp16,130 per liter

BP Ultimate: Rp16,760 per liter

BP Ultimate Diesel: Rp21,910 per liter

Pertamina’s latest adjustment means its flagship Pertamax gasoline is now priced slightly below BP 92, while Pertamax Green 95 and Pertamax Turbo remain positioned at different price points from BP’s premium gasoline products.

Indonesia reviews prices for non-subsidized fuels periodically, with changes generally reflecting movements in global oil prices, exchange rates and other market considerations.
