Jakarta. MSCI Inc. announced on Wednesday that Indonesian technology company GoTo Gojek Tokopedia and poultry and agribusiness giant Charoen Pokphand Indonesia will be removed from its Global Standard Indexes as part of its latest index review.

Charoen Pokphand will instead be included in the MSCI Global Small Cap Indexes, while GoTo was not listed among the Indonesian additions to the small-cap category.

The constituent changes will take effect after the close of trading on Aug. 31, 2026, MSCI said in a statement.

The review also resulted in nine Indonesian companies being removed from the MSCI Global Small Cap Indexes:

  6. MNC Tourism Indonesia
  7. Raharja Energi Cepu
  8. Semen Indonesia
  9. Transcoal Pacific

Globally, MSCI will add 55 securities to and remove 92 from its Standard Indexes as part of the review.

The three largest additions to the MSCI World Index by full company market capitalization are SanDisk, Carpenter Technology and ATI, all from the United States.

Meanwhile, the three largest additions to the MSCI Emerging Markets Index are China's Z.AI Co H, Taiwan's Nanya Technology, and China's Guangdong Dtech Technology A, according to MSCI.

The broader MSCI ACWI Small Cap Index will see 203 securities added and 261 removed.

MSCI indexes are widely tracked by international institutional investors and investment funds, meaning changes in their constituents can influence demand for affected shares as index-tracking portfolios adjust their holdings.
