Jakarta. Media group B-Universe Media Holdings celebrated the inauguration of its first business news television channel, IDTV, during a ceremony attended by President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo in Jakarta on Tuesday.

IDTV joins B-Universe's diverse portfolio, which includes the business newspaper Investor Daily, the news website Beritasatu.com, the English publication JakartaGlobe.id, the news and entertainment broadcaster BTV, and the market research magazine Majalah Investor.

The president symbolically launched IDTV by signing a marble during the BNI Investor Daily Summit in Jakarta. Following the ceremony, Jokowi said, "Community members and business people shouldn't be afraid of making investments."

This event also marks the first anniversary of B-Universe, whose initial launch last October was also witnessed by the president. 

"Today, we launch a special channel focusing on capital market investment, finance, and economic analyses, called IDTV," B-Universe Executive Chairman Enggartiasto Lukita said.

The newly launched TV channel reinforces the media group's commitment to delivering quality and timely reporting on economic matters, according to B-Universe Vice CEO Apreyvita Wulansari. 

"The introduction of IDTV aligns with our goal of becoming a comprehensive source of information, setting us apart from the competition," she said. “We hope that IDTV will enrich our existing programs and become a reliable reference for business information, encouraging a new wave of investors, especially among the younger generation. IDTV serves as an inspiration for investment."
