Jakarta. Indonesia’s state-owned pawn company PT Pegadaian and its gold banking unit are once again opening their doors to fresh graduates and young professionals through the Pegadaian Future Leaders Program (PFLP) 2025. Registration runs from August 19 to 31, 2025.

Pegadaian Corporate Secretary Dwi Hadi Atmaka said the initiative is designed to serve as a bridge for top young talent to build careers in Indonesia’s non-bank financial sector.

“We are reopening opportunities, especially for fresh graduates, to join Pegadaian and develop with us,” Dwi said in a statement on Tuesday.

He also reminded the public to beware of fraudulent job offers that misuse Pegadaian’s name. “Pegadaian never charges recruitment fees, nor asks applicants to transfer money for transportation or accommodation during the selection process,” he stressed.

General Requirements for PFLP 2025

• Open to fresh graduates, with or without prior work experience.
• Minimum bachelor’s (S1) or master’s (S2) degree, with GPA of 3.00 or higher from an accredited university (Grade A/Excellent).
• Maximum age of 25 for S1 graduates and 27 for S2 graduates at the start of registration.
• Official graduation proven by diploma.
• Willingness to undergo the entire selection and training process.
• Commitment to start the program as scheduled by the company.
• Single, and willing to remain unmarried during the selection and training period.
• Willing to be placed anywhere in Indonesia.

Applicants must also provide proof of a clean legal record, shown through a valid police clearance certificate. 

Previous work or organizational experience will be considered an advantage.

The program is open to all majors, but graduates in economics, accounting, psychology, civil engineering, industrial engineering, visual communication design, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, law, information technology, management, administration, communication, and literature are particularly encouraged to apply.

Dwi explained that PFLP is more than just a hiring initiative. “Through the Pegadaian Future Leaders Program, we are not only seeking employees but also nurturing future leaders who will help advance Indonesia’s financial industry and support Pegadaian’s vision to ‘Gold-empower’ the nation,” he said.

Founded in Sukabumi, West Java, in 1901, Pegadaian has evolved from a pawn business into a diversified financial services company offering gold-based investment products, hajj and umrah financing, microcredit, vehicle and business loans, and sharia-based financing.

In December 2024, Pegadaian also pioneered Indonesia’s first licensed Gold Bank (Bank Emas), approved by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Its services include gold deposits, gold-based working capital loans, corporate gold custody, and gold trading.
