Pegadaian Invites Fans to Participate in 'Behind Football' Initiative During Liga 2 Matches
Jakarta. PT Pegadaian invites the public, especially football supporters, to participate in the Behind Football program, which will take place alongside the Pegadaian Liga 2 matches in various cities. This initiative is part of Pegadaian's social and environmental responsibility efforts to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 11, which focuses on Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The Behind Football program aims not only to encourage supporters to contribute to environmental preservation by cleaning the stadiums after matches but also to engage in tree-planting activities around the stadium area. Additionally, the program includes coaching clinics held in collaboration with Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), where supporters will receive basic football training from professional coaches.
Rully Yusuf, Executive Vice President of the ESG Division at Pegadaian, said that the Behind Football program is one of Pegadaian's efforts to involve the community, particularly football supporters, in maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment.
"We hope that this activity will positively impact the environment and foster a spirit of sportsmanship among football supporters," he said.
Through this program, Pegadaian aims to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental protection while providing supporters with hands-on experiences to contribute to tangible actions for sustainability.
