Jakarta. Businesses supported by Indonesia Eximbank/ Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI), recorded $7.3 million in potential export transactions at Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026, reflecting five prospective deals between Indonesian exporters and buyers from various countries.

Coffee accounted for the largest share, with potential transactions worth $7 million targeting the Netherlands and the United States. Other prospective deals included $23,000 in tea exports to Malaysia and Germany, as well as $250,000 in home decor products for Canada.

The results highlight global market opportunities for Indonesian products, ranging from leading commodities to value-added goods targeting niche markets. Participation in TEI 2026 also opened opportunities for LPEI-supported businesses to enter new export markets that had previously been underexplored.

“Trade Expo Indonesia is a strategic opportunity to connect national exporters with prospective global buyers while opening access to new export markets. The potential transactions generated demonstrate that Indonesian products remain competitive and have significant opportunities in international markets. Indonesia Eximbank will continue to strengthen its role as a growth partner for exporters through financing, guarantees, insurance, consulting services and expanded access to international markets,” said Maria Sidabutar, Indonesia Eximbank Advisory Services Division Head..

To expand market access for Indonesian businesses, Indonesia Eximbank actively collaborates with trade attachés and Indonesia Trade Promotion Centers (ITPCs) in various countries to identify market opportunities, source potential buyers and connect exporters with buyers whose needs align with their products.

These partnerships have also helped open export opportunities in new destination countries, supporting market diversification and strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian products globally.

Strong interest from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), corporations and international buyers was also reflected in visitor traffic at Indonesia Eximbank's booth. During the five-day exhibition, more than 2,000 visitors, including buyers, exporters, corporate representatives and SME owners, visited the booth.

Visitors sought information on Indonesia Eximbank's financial and non-financial services and viewed 10 flagship products showcased by the institution's borrowers and partner businesses.

To provide more comprehensive support for export-oriented businesses, Indonesia Eximbank also partnered with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and the National Single Window Agency (LNSW) to offer export consultation services.

Through this collaboration, businesses gained direct access to information and consultations on export financing, customs procedures and international trade. More than 300 consultation sessions were held during the exhibition, providing practical answers and solutions to challenges businesses face in expanding their export markets.

Through its active participation in TEI 2026, Indonesia Eximbank reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the national export ecosystem, expanding international market access for Indonesian businesses and increasing the contribution of exports to national economic growth.
