Enthusiasm Soars for BNI Eid Homecoming Program
Jakarta. BNI's participation at the 2026 free homecoming program by Indonesian state-owned enterprises (SOEs) has received positive reactions.
BNI is sending over 7,000 travelers in stages to various destinations in Java and Sumatra. The bank has sent about 1,500 of those participants at a flag-off ceremony in Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno on Tuesday. Participant Budi Arief said that the free travel program had been very helpful, especially amidst high transportation costs during the holiday season.
"I think it's very beneficial, especially for those who want to go home when public transportation fares are very expensive, while now everything is free, facilitated by a state-owned enterprise," Budi said.
Budi, who lives in Bekasi, went on to say how easy it was to sign up for the program. Participants only needed to show their ID and a BNI account, then followed a clear process, from queuing for tickets to distributing homecoming supplies.
"The process was smooth, from registration to the distribution of supplies such as t-shirts, hats, and food. So we felt well-served," he said.
Participants also received a homecoming equipment package to ensure a comfortable journey. This was seen as enhancing the homecoming experience, making it more organized and comfortable for the community.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that BNI's participation in this program marked part of the company's commitment to providing services to the community while supporting the smooth flow of Eid homecoming travelers.
"We hope travelers can experience a safe and comfortable journey and be able to gather with their families in their hometowns," Okki said.
The bank also hopes this program can slash the burden of travel costs and support a more orderly distribution of the homecoming flow.
