BNI Expands Digital Finance Ecosystem Through Al-Izhar Education Partnership
Jakarta. State-owned lender Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is strengthening its commitment to developing a digital financial ecosystem in Indonesia’s education sector through its partnership with Al-Izhar School under the Yayasan Anakku foundation.
Most recently, BNI participated in the Melodia 2026 Al-Izhar Music & Art Charity Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday at the Al-Izhar Islamic School complex in Pondok Labu, South Jakarta.
Through its participation, BNI introduced a range of digital banking programs and financial innovations aimed at supporting younger generations and educational communities while improving financial literacy and accelerating digital transformation in schools.
“Through our involvement in Melodia 2026, BNI hopes to continue supporting positive activities that strengthen youth creativity, social awareness, and digital transformation in educational institutions and society,” BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said in a statement.
Festival visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, including art and music performances, charity programs, food and beverage bazaars, traditional and modern dance performances, as well as special appearances by Kahitna and Ten2Five.
BNI will also offer visitors the opportunity to open bank accounts through its wondr by BNI digital platform, with rewards of up to Rp 100,000 ($5.76) or exclusive luggage merchandise available for eligible participants.
In addition, the bank is offering credit card promotions, including a welcome cashback of up to Rp 500,000 and lifetime annual fee waivers. Visitors can also participate in various activities at the BNI booth, including mini games, mini medical check-ups, and instant rewards prepared for the festival.
As part of efforts to strengthen the digital ecosystem, all merchants participating in Melodia 2026 will use cashless payment systems through BNI’s QRIS payment platform.
The initiative is also intended to educate younger generations and the broader public about the convenience, efficiency, and security of non-cash transactions in daily life.
BNI said its participation in the event complements the implementation of digital financial services already operating within Al-Izhar School through the bank’s BNIdirect platform.
The integrated banking services are expected to support transaction needs for schools, employees, and parents within the Al-Izhar educational ecosystem.
“BNI is optimistic that its collaboration with Yayasan Anakku and Al-Izhar School will continue to grow through the utilization of integrated banking services tailored to the needs of modern educational institutions while strengthening digital financial inclusion in Indonesia,” Okki said.
Through the partnership, BNI aims to continue positioning itself as a strategic partner for educational institutions by providing innovative, secure, and accessible financial services across the education ecosystem.
