Jakarta. Media group Disway praised its recently launched collaboration with B-Universe Media Holdings.

According to Disway’s president commissioner Dahlan Iskan, this partnership marks a major collaboration and is set to become a “new vein” in the Indonesian media industry. Dahlan made the remarks when he attended the Satu Inspirasi gala dinner in Jakarta.

“I’m very pleased to see Disway and B-Universe working together in a collaborative manner,” Dahlan said.

Disway houses 260 media outlets, and there are 100 media outlets under B-Universe’s auspices. B-Universe encompasses BTV, IDTV, Beritasatu.com, The Jakarta Globe, Investor.id, 10 regional news channels, and 60 sub-national portals that are members of the B-Network. Disway has a media network of 110 portals, 80 print media, and 10 local television stations. Together, the two media groups can be powerful, according to Dahlan.

He added: “I hope this will become a very big force.”

According to B-Universe’s executive chairman Enggartiasto Lukita, the partnership would enable a more comprehensive news coverage on various matters.

“B-Universe needs support, and we can also help [Disway] overcome their shortcomings and vice versa. This partnership will help us reach a bigger audience, be it through our coverage of national matters or economic issues, and so on,” Enggartiasto said.
