BNI-AM Gives Away Mutual Funds for Indonesian Workers in S. Korea
Jakarta. BNI Asset Management is giving away mutual funds, namely BNI-AM Short Duration Bonds Index, for Indonesians working while also studying in South Korea as a motivation booster, according to a press release.
Index funds are BNI Asset Management or BNI-AM’s leading products with relatively stable price movements, making them suitable for newbie investors or novices who wish to level up. The Indonesian working students will have the mutual funds sent to their BIONS BNI Sekuritas app. This BNI-AM “scholarship” is not only a motivation booster but also aims to hone their knowledge of financial management.
BNI-AM business director Donny Susatio Adjie symbolically handed over the mutual funds to the Indonesian Ambassador in South Korea Gandi Sulistyanto at the embassy in Seoul, not long ago.
“We hope this Mutual Fund Scholarship program can encourage the diaspora to pursue their studies and invest,” BNI Seoul general branch Edy Pramono was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.
Previously, BNI-AM together with BNI and BNI Sekuritas launched a series of financial education programs on capital market investment, be it via Zoom, webinars, or social media.
BNI Seoul began operations on Feb. 2016, making it the bank’s youngest branch. BNI Seoul obtained an operational permit from Korea’s Financial Services Commission on Nov. 2015. BNI Seoul is also the only Indonesian bank that operates in South Korea and holds a full branch license.
BNI Seoul focuses on facilitating trade and remittance transactions between Indonesia and South Korea. With the full branch license, BNI Seoul provides a myriad of banking and financial products.
BNI-AM is in the top 10 of the largest investment managers in Indonesia based on its asset under management (AUM).
