BNI Wins Dual Honors at BI Awards 2025 for Monetary Support and Community-Based Economy
Jakarta. State lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, received two prestigious awards at the 2025 Bank Indonesia (BI) Awards, held during the central bank's annual meeting on Friday, November 28, 2025. The awards were presented by Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo to BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan, in the presence of President Prabowo Subianto.
BNI was recognized as the Best Rupiah Monetary Control Partner Bank and as the Champion of People’s Economy Advancement for KBMI 3 & 4 Banks (large, top tier banks). These accolades highlight BNI’s strong contributions to supporting effective monetary policy and advancing Indonesia’s grassroots economic empowerment.
BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan said the awards reflect appreciation for the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting Bank Indonesia’s strategic programs.
“These awards motivate BNI to further strengthen our role as a strategic partner of Bank Indonesia in safeguarding financial system stability while expanding access to digital financial services for the public,” Putrama said.
He added that Indonesia’s economy has demonstrated solid resilience throughout 2025 despite global pressures. This performance, he noted, is the result of strong policy synergy between the government and Bank Indonesia, which has maintained macroeconomic stability while accelerating national economic transformation.
“With aligned strategies and the right economic direction, Indonesia is on a positive trajectory toward achieving higher, more inclusive, and sustainable economic growth,” Putrama added.
BNI reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing digital banking innovation and deepening collaboration with regulators and stakeholders. This focus is central to expanding financial inclusion, accelerating digital transactions, and strengthening the foundation of Indonesia’s economic growth.
With these achievements, BNI reinforces its position as a financial institution dedicated to maintaining financial system stability while advancing the nation’s people-centered economy.
