bank bjb Provides Cash Exchange Services Through SERAMBI 2026 Ahead of Ramadan and Idulfitri
Jakarta. bank bjb reaffirmed its commitment to supporting smooth economic activity ahead of the holy month of Ramadan and the Idulfitri 1447 Hijriah holiday through active participation in the Kick Off Semarak Rupiah Ramadan dan Berkah Idulfitri (SERAMBI) 2026 program.
The SERAMBI 2026 kickoff marks an important moment in preparing optimal banking services during a period of heightened transactions. The initiative reflects synergy among Bank Indonesia, financial service institutions, and national banks to ensure adequate cash availability for the public.
The Kick Off SERAMBI 2026 event was held on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at the lobby of Building C of Bank Indonesia in Central Jakarta, symbolizing the start of currency exchange services and the distribution of fit-for-circulation banknotes. bank bjb was represented by Ayi Subarna, acting president director.
Through SERAMBI 2026, bank bjb supports efforts to maintain sufficient, secure, and proper cash circulation. The bank has prepared Rp 8 trillion in cash to meet demand across all bank bjb branch offices nationwide, anticipating a significant rise in cash needs ahead of Idulfitri.
Demand typically increases alongside shopping activity, holiday allowance payments, and traditions of sharing with family and relatives. Banking service readiness therefore plays a key role in ensuring smooth transactions during the festive period.
As part of the program, bank bjb is providing currency exchange services at designated branch offices and service points to help the public obtain new banknotes safely and officially.
Individuals may exchange up to Rp 5,300,000 per person per day in mixed denominations ranging from Rp 1,000 to Rp 50,000. The service is accessible through Bank Indonesia’s PINTAR application via its official website: https://pintar.bi.go.id;
bank bjb is also deploying mobile cash services at various strategic locations to reach communities with limited access to bank branches, ensuring broader and more convenient access to currency exchange services, including in remote areas.
Beyond cash provision, bank bjb continues to educate the public on conducting transactions through official institutions to avoid counterfeit currency risks and illegal exchange practices. Customers are urged to exchange money only at institutions supervised by Bank Indonesia to ensure authenticity and security.
In line with digital transformation, bank bjb is encouraging the use of mobile banking, internet banking, and QRIS for transactions, which are considered more efficient, secure, and practical amid elevated shopping activity during Ramadan and Idulfitri.
Greater adoption of digital services is expected to reduce reliance on cash and minimize risks such as loss or fraud, while also supporting broader financial literacy.
Through its participation in SERAMBI 2026, bank bjb supports Bank Indonesia’s policy efforts to maintain national financial system stability, reinforcing a healthy financial ecosystem.
During Ramadan and Idulfitri, transaction security remains a priority. bank bjb urges customers to stay alert to fraud schemes impersonating banking institutions, avoid using public Wi-Fi for financial transactions, and refrain from accessing suspicious links or unofficial applications.
The bank also provides services for exchanging damaged or unfit banknotes to help maintain currency quality in circulation in accordance with Bank Indonesia standards, supporting an orderly, secure, and trustworthy payment system.
bank bjb’s participation in SERAMBI 2026 continues commitments established in previous years, underscoring its role in supporting Bank Indonesia’s financial stability policies and ensuring the public can access cash conveniently, safely, and comfortably during the Ramadan and Idulfitri period.
