10,000 Runners Set for Bali’s wondr Kemala Run 2026
Bali. A total of 10,000 runners from Indonesia and abroad are set to take part in the international running event wondr Kemala Run 2026, which will be held at the Bali United Training Centre on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The event aims to promote sport tourism while strengthening social initiatives under the theme “Charity for Indonesia.”
The event is a collaboration between Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), through its digital platform wondr by BNI, and Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari. Of the total participants, around 1,000 runners will compete in the Half Marathon category, 4,000 in the 10K, and 5,000 in the 5K.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the event marks an important milestone to promote a healthy lifestyle while enhancing Bali’s appeal as a world-class sports destination.
“Through wondr Kemala Run 2026, we aim to deliver an international-standard running experience while encouraging people to live healthier and more active lives,” Okki said in a statement.
He added that the high participation from various groups — ranging from running communities and the general public to international runners — shows that the event is increasingly recognized as a global-scale sporting event.
In addition to the main race, the event will feature various supporting activities involving local communities, including competitions among villages and banjar groups along the race route. These activities are expected to strengthen community engagement while generating economic benefits for the region.
The “Charity for Indonesia” theme also highlights values of togetherness and social care. Through donation drives and humanitarian activities, participants are encouraged to contribute to creating a positive impact on society.
During the event, BNI will also provide a range of digital transaction services to enhance convenience for participants and visitors. These include on-site account registration, QRIS-based payments, and various promotions such as cashback and rewards available directly at the venue.
Okki noted that the synergy between the banking sector and the sports community not only delivers a high-quality sporting experience but also strengthens the digital ecosystem and supports local economic growth.
“The enthusiasm of participants shows that this is not just a sporting event, but one that also delivers positive economic impact for the region,” he said.
As a co-organizer, Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari plays an active role in integrating sports with social and humanitarian initiatives. This collaboration is part of efforts to foster unity while expanding the benefits of the event for the wider community.
With its large-scale participation and integrated concept, wondr Kemala Run 2026 is expected to reinforce Bali’s position as an international sport tourism destination while delivering a memorable running experience for participants from around the world.
