Jakarta. The head of president-elect Prabowo Subianto’s campaign team came to the private residence of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri not once, but twice on Wednesday to extend Eid al-Fitr greetings.

Rosan Roeslani and his wife first arrived at Megawati’s residence on Teuku Umar Street in Jakarta in the morning but the host wasn’t available for him, PDI-P Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto said.

He came again in the afternoon and this time Megawati received him for a quite long conversation, Hasto said.

According to Hasto, Megawati began to receive guests for Eid celebrations in the afternoon and everyone was treated equally.

"Brother Rosan came again because he hadn’t got a chance to shake hands with Madame Mega earlier," Hasto said, adding that he accompanied Megawati during the meeting.

In addition to Rosan, a number of cabinet members also came to Megawati’s residence to celebrate Eid. They included Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Energy Minister Arifin Tasrif, and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas.
