Prabowo Subianto's Victory Speech: Uniting Indonesia for Prosperity
Jakarta. President-elect Prabowo Subianto delivered a victory speech at his residence on Jalan Kartanegara, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, joined by the leaders of all parties within his coalition.
"We extend an invitation to all Indonesians to join hands and unite. Let us work together harmoniously to bring prosperity to Indonesia," Prabowo conveyed from his residence.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Indonesia for the Election Commission's (KPU) announcement of the results, Prabowo remarked, "On behalf of myself and vice-presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka, representing the coalition that has supported us, I wish to express our deepest gratitude to all Indonesians for their participation in the 2024 Elections."
Following the completion of the national vote count, the KPU declared Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's eldest son, as the winners of the 2024 Presidential Election.
In response to this outcome, President Jokowi congratulated Prabowo-Gibran.
"Congratulations," Jokowi succinctly responded with a smile to reporters' questions after inaugurating the duplication of the Kapuas I Bridge in the city of Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Thursday.
The KPU officially declared Prabowo Subianto as the victor of the 2024 Presidential Election in a single round, garnering 96,214,691 valid votes, equivalent to 58.59 percent of the national vote count. Prabowo-Gibran secured victories in 36 out of 38 provinces in Indonesia, in addition to winning overseas votes.
