Jakarta. Leading news portal Beritasatu.com will host an appreciation gala for government and community leaders who have introduced inspiring innovations and programs for the public at JS Luwansa Hotel in Jakarta on Thursday evening.

The gala will recognize inspiring work and initiatives by 24 individuals who have been carefully selected by a research team and an independent jury through a process that began in May.

Apreyvita Wulansari, news director of B-Universe Media Holdings, announced that the upcoming gala, titled Satu Inspirasi, will be the second edition following the inaugural event last year.

Unlike the previous gala, which honored only inspiring local government officials, this year’s event will also recognize contributions from influential figures in the private sector and other community elements.

“We acknowledge that many influential figures and corporate leaders beyond the bureaucracy deserve recognition, so we have extended the Satu Inspirasi award coverage,” Apreyvita said at JS Luwansa Hotel on Thursday.

The awardees were carefully selected by a research team and a distinguished jury of experts since May.

Initially, the research team vetted 300 programs for eligibility and selected the top 35 for final assessment by the jury, which includes Professor Dadan Umar Daihani from the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas); Agustinus Prasetyantoko, PhD, former chancellor of Atma Jaya University; Wahyu T Setyobudi, PhD, from Binus Business School; and Devie Rahmawati, PhD, from the University of Indonesia.

The jury then chose 24 winners of the Satu Inspirasi awards based on the programs' impact, innovative aspects, participation level, and sustainability.

The awards fall into six categories: social welfare, environmental preservation and renewable energies, bureaucratic reform and services, socioeconomic engine, digital transformation, and local development agent.

Apreyvita said the winners will be announced during the gala, ensuring they have “introduced impactful and beneficial programs to society.”

On the sidelines of the event, a ceremony will inaugurate the collaboration between B-Universe and Disway National Network, which operates a television network, newspapers, and online news portals across Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan.

B-Universe is the parent company of Beritasatu, the business daily Investor Daily, the business television IDTV, the Jakarta Globe, the news and entertainment broadcaster BTV, and the business news website Investor.id.
