Jakarta. Pertamina Patra Niaga has secured more than 80,000 kiloliters (kl) of aviation fuel to support Indonesia’s 2026 hajj flights, ensuring steady supply across 14 embarkation airports during peak travel periods.

Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said the readiness reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining seamless air mobility for pilgrims through reliable and integrated energy services.

“Hajj flight services this year are divided into two phases, namely the first phase from April 22 to May 21, and the second phase from June 1 to June 30,” he said on Wednesday.

Throughout both phases, Pertamina Patra Niaga said it has secured operational readiness and supply reliability at all service points.

As a downstream subholding of Pertamina, the company plays a central role in supplying aviation fuel nationwide, particularly for hajj flights.

Support is anchored at 14 embarkation airports, including Sultan Iskandar Muda, Minangkabau, Hang Nadim, Kualanamu, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, Soekarno-Hatta, Kertajati, Adi Soemarmo, Juanda, Lombok International Airport, Sepinggan, Syamsudin Noor, Hasanuddin, and Yogyakarta International Airport, which is newly designated as an embarkation point in 2026.

Roberth said the preparedness is backed by an integrated supply chain system spanning upstream to downstream operations.

“This is aimed at ensuring safe, timely, and standards-compliant hajj flight operations,” he said.

Fuel distribution is carried out through an integrated network covering refineries, fuel terminals, aviation fuel terminals, and into-plane services, allowing for efficient delivery across all airports, including logistics buffer hubs.

The company also ensured safe stock levels at all service points, supported by adaptive logistics management to anticipate demand surges during peak hajj periods.

Projected avtur demand of 80,000 kl marks a 1.2% increase from last year’s hajj season and stands 5.6% above normal daily distribution levels.

“This increase reflects rising hajj flight activity as well as the company’s readiness to anticipate evolving energy demand in the aviation sector,” Roberth said.

On the operational side, Pertamina Patra Niaga is optimizing digital technology through its Digital Ground Operation (DGO) system, enabling real-time monitoring of refueling and transaction validation.

The system improves transparency, efficiency, and traceability in avtur distribution to airlines such as Garuda Indonesia and Saudia.

Roberth added that the digitalization effort also supports good corporate governance and enhances service accountability.

“This step is part of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s strategic role in strengthening the state’s presence through reliable energy services, while supporting the smooth implementation of Indonesia’s hajj pilgrimage,” he said.
