Jakarta. Executive Chairman of B-Universe Enggartiasto Lukita voiced confidence in Indonesia’s new economic direction under President Prabowo Subianto, describing the country as entering a pivotal phase in shaping the emerging global economic order.

Speaking at the opening of the Investor Daily Summit (IDS) 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Senayan on Wednesday, Enggartiasto said the Prabowo-Gibran administration has taken bold steps to navigate the shifting geopolitical and economic landscape.

He cited cross-continental trade agreements and international investment commitments as part of Indonesia’s vision to position itself as a balancing force in the new world economy.

“Since its inception, this forum has been dedicated to exploring and redefining the direction of Indonesia’s economy, to talk about investment, growth, and the nation’s future,” said Enggartiasto, who previously served as Minister of Trade.

The 2025 summit, themed “New Economic Order,” reflects a broader global awareness of an economic transition, he added. In this context, Indonesia holds a strategic position with its abundant resources, geographic advantage, and strong leadership.

“Indonesia has the opportunity to be a key player, not just a spectator,” Enggartiasto stressed.

He also underscored the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in strengthening the country’s economic foundation. The IDS 2025, he said, serves as a platform to align efforts among the Investment and Downstream Industry Ministry, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and sovereign wealth fund Danantara to advance national development focused on downstream industries and grassroots empowerment.

“This collaboration is not merely symbolic, it’s a tangible manifestation of our national development goals: reinforcing downstreaming, boosting investment, and energizing the people’s economy,” he concluded.
