Stronger Governance, Higher Standards: BNI Wins Two ARA 2024 Awards
Jakarta. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) continues to demonstrate its leadership in corporate governance and information transparency, securing two major accolades at the 2024 Annual Report Award (ARA). The bank was honored with the award for Company with the Highest Desk Evaluation Score Improvement, reflecting a substantial advance in the quality of its Annual Report and Sustainability Report compared with the previous year.
The awards were announced at the ARA ceremony in Jakarta on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. The recognition highlights BNI’s consistent efforts to embed transparency, accountability, and high reporting standards across the organization.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the awards reaffirm the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthen governance practices.
“These recognitions motivate us to continue elevating the quality of our reporting and governance. The objective evaluation by the judges provides valuable insights for improving our reports and encourages all BNI employees to keep striving for excellence,” Okki said.
In addition to the Desk Evaluation award, BNI was also named among the top three companies in the Publicly Listed State-Owned Financial Institutions category, signaling the bank’s rising competitiveness in governance and reporting throughout 2024. The achievement adds to BNI’s growing list of milestones, including the Leadership in Corporate Governance distinction from the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) earlier this year.
The 2024 ARA assessed companies based on four core pillars: ethics, transparency, accountability, and sustainability. BNI was recognized for meaningful progress across all areas, particularly in integrating more comprehensive sustainability data into its corporate reporting.
Okki added that BNI will continue enhancing its reporting practices to align with evolving global standards.
“We are grateful for the support of all stakeholders. BNI remains committed to upholding integrity, professionalism, and high-quality disclosures as the foundation of strong corporate governance,” he said.
As a publicly listed financial institution, BNI reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening financial and sustainability reporting in the coming years to bolster investor, regulatory, and public confidence in the bank’s performance.
