Jakarta. State-run infrastructure company PTPP reported Thursday that its new contract value had reached Rp 2.9 trillion as of February 2025.

This is about 108 percent of the target set for that month. It is also equivalent to 10.21 percent of the target set for the end of 2025.

PTPP reported that most of its new contract came from the private sector (47.31 percent). The government funded 38.58 percent of those projects, while the remaining 14.11 percent came from the state-owned enterprises. The highest new contract acquisition was in the road and bridge sector at 46.70 percent. Followed by buildings (37.63 percent); dams (9.34 percent); irrigation (5.93 percent); oil and gas (0.4 percent).

The new contracts obtained by PTPP in January – February 2025 include the Bromo General Contractor Works Batam project valued at Rp 410.55 billion. Other projects include the Krui & Anambas Regional General Hospital (Rp 289.9 billion), the Bagong Dam Package 3 (Rp 271.8 billion,); Adhyaksa General Hospital Jambi (Rp 224.4 billion); Adhyaksa General Hospital Banten Phase 2 project (Rp 163.8 billion).

In 2024, PTPP posted a positive net profit of Rp 129.4 billion, reflecting a 1.85 percent year-on-year increase compared to the same period last year. The company attributed this growth to the 7.30 percent increase in operating income by the end of 2024, reaching a total of Rp 19.81 trillion, as well as from the share of profits from joint ventures amounting to Rp 1.24 trillion, which grew 84.51 percent yoy,

PTPP’s Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo said that the new projects reflected a good start for the company.

"With the positive new contract acquisition in February 2025, which exceeds the target, this demonstrates the company’s optimism in achieving the 2025 year-end target, which aims for a 5 percent growth compared to what we have achieved the previous year," Joko was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.

This year, PTPP is planning to focus on completing ongoing projects. It will also target construction projects that support national development. These include projects such as building hospitals, agricultural land (including irrigation), reservoirs, dams, school constructions, village infrastructure, and building homes with sanitation.

"PTPP continues to improve its competitiveness by implementing technological innovations, prioritizing HSE [health, safety, and environment] principles, sustainability principles, and applying risk management as part of PTPP’s commitment to achieving the 2025 targets," Joko said.
