Pertamina Nurtures Food MSMEs Through Pertapreneur Aggregator 2025
Jakarta. Pertamina, through its Program Pertapreneur Aggregator (PAG) 2025, is strengthening functional food MSMEs to grow into standardized and competitive businesses, with a focus on food safety, product quality, and national food security.
The program encourages MSMEs to move beyond producing natural products by developing functional food that is safe, tested, and delivers a tangible impact on Indonesia’s food resilience. Food safety and quality are positioned as the core foundation of MSME mentoring, enabling businesses to scale up and move to the next level.
Pertamina is also pushing for stronger production governance, consistent quality standards, and operational readiness so local food MSMEs can contribute to national food security while building consumer trust.
Pertamina Vice President for Corporate Communication Muhammad Baron said the strengthening of food MSMEs aligns with the government’s Asta Cita agenda, particularly in supporting food security and improving public health quality.
“Food MSMEs need to be encouraged to level up with strong standards. With well-maintained systems and quality, MSMEs can play a role in safeguarding food security while providing products that are beneficial to the community,” Baron said.
One of the participants in PAG 2025, Imago Raw Honey from Bogor, is among the 10 PAG 2025 Champions currently entering the Business Acceleration & Scaling Up phase. Through the program’s mentoring, the company has strengthened its business strategy and expansion readiness by developing research-based functional honey products to ensure consistent quality and food safety.
Henry, the owner of Imago Raw Honey, said the PAG mentoring has reinforced the company’s management and operational capacity. In December 2025, Imago Raw Honey obtained Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification, marking a key milestone in ensuring food safety and readiness for large-scale production.
The Pertapreneur Aggregator program, which has been running since late 2025, includes a series of stages, starting with online Business Acceleration, followed by Business Acceleration & Scaling Up classes mentored by academics from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
A total of 10 PAG 2025 Champions underwent intensive coaching covering business strategy strengthening and the initial preparation of a Business Improvement Plan (BIP), including financial aspects, as the basis for business development planning.
Entering January 2026, the program moved into the Site Visit phase, with assessors visiting each Champion’s business location. The visits focus on validating BIP documents against on-the-ground conditions, including assets, production capacity, inventory, and operations, to establish baseline data.
The site visits also aim to finalize Objective and Key Results (OKR) by translating BIP strategies into measurable monthly targets, serving as the basis for performance monitoring and grant disbursement readiness. This stage includes verification of aggregation readiness, including the availability and preparedness of prospective MSMEs to be developed through collaboration and business aggregation schemes.
Through the Pertapreneur Aggregator Program, Pertamina reaffirmed its commitment to supporting food MSMEs to grow into standardized, competitive businesses that contribute meaningfully to Indonesia’s food security and public health.
