MODENA, Indosat Join Forces to Launch New Telecommunications Service
Jakarta. MODENA and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) have officially entered into a strategic collaboration following a partnership signing ceremony on Oct. 31, 2025.
The collaboration aims to introduce a new telecommunications service that will become part of Seamless, an integrated ecosystem developed by MODENA to support an end-to-end smart lifestyle through the synergy of electronic devices, connectivity, and digital services.
The agreement was signed by Dong Pyo Jeon, Executive Vice President of Commercial MODENA, and Muhammad Buldansyah, Director & Chief Business Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison. The event marked both companies’ shared commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s digital connectivity.
“This collaboration stems from a shared vision between MODENA and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison to deliver solutions that merge technology and convenience in everyday life. With Indosat’s extensive and reliable network, we will introduce telecommunications services as part of the Seamless ecosystem—enhancing smarter and more stable connectivity to support smart living within a unified experience,” said Michael Jizhar, Executive Vice President of MODENA.
In its initial phase, the collaboration will introduce SIM cards and postpaid data packages available through bundled purchases, designed to provide users with a more practical and stable connectivity experience. The service will also allow customers to retain their existing Indosat phone numbers when using Seamless packages.
Going forward, MODENA and IOH plan to expand beyond basic services by integrating telecommunications deeper into the Seamless ecosystem, unlocking new opportunities for a more inclusive, connected, and comfortable smart living experience.
“This collaboration represents Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison’s commitment as a strategic partner in driving cross-industry digital transformation. We’re pleased to support MODENA in building connectivity that enables smart living experiences for more Indonesians. This initiative aligns with our broader mission to empower Indonesia through technological innovation, borderless connectivity, and multi-sector collaboration to strengthen the national digital ecosystem,” said Muhammad Danny Buldansyah, Director & Chief Business Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
MODENA Seamless: Building an Integrated Smart Living Ecosystem
Seamless is MODENA’s long-term vision for developing a connected smart lifestyle ecosystem, where devices, connectivity, and digital services work together as one. To realize this, MODENA has been developing several business lines forming the foundation of the Seamless ecosystem.
As part of this commitment, MODENA has introduced several initiatives to enhance connectivity and service integration—beginning with the launch of MODENA Seamless IoT, a smart home solution that allows users to control 17 Internet of Things (IoT) devices through the MODENA Seamless App.
This initiative expanded through a partnership with MNC Kapital Indonesia to develop MODENA Pay, a digital financial service integrated within the Seamless ecosystem to enable convenient transactions.
All these initiatives are now being tied together through the strategic partnership with IOH, serving as the cornerstone for delivering seamless connectivity to MODENA customers. The ecosystem will continue to grow with new innovations and services designed to enrich user experiences.
“This initiative is part of MODENA Group’s long-term strategy to grow beyond the home appliance business through our 12 business pillars, which include electronics, energy, IoT, water solutions, mobility, heavy industry, retail cloud, engineering and construction, logistics, medical equipment, information and communication technology, and financial services. We believe this collaboration will strengthen MODENA’s role in building an integrated ecosystem for modern living,” Michael Jizhar concluded.
