Mitsubishi Fuso Marks 55th Anniversary by Engaging Canter Community at GIIAS 2025
Jakarta. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) commercial vehicles in Indonesia, once again demonstrated its commitment to engaging with truck enthusiast communities by holding a Canter community gathering at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025.
Canter is Mitsubishi's hot-selling truck model in Indonesia.
The event, which took place on Saturday at the International Convention and Exhibition (ICE) center in Tangerang, invited hundreds of Canter community members from various regions to celebrate 55 years of Mitsubishi Fuso’s presence in Indonesia.
Sudaryanto, General Manager of Business Communication at PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, said this community gathering serves as a heartfelt appreciation for all Canter community members who deeply love Mitsubishi Fuso products. Many stories came from the community members, including one from Bandung who modified four Canter units for a contest.
“We are proud that our products have earned a place in the hearts of our customers for the past 55 years. We want to celebrate togetherness, strengthen our relationships, and show that Mitsubishi Fuso is not just a vehicle provider, but a life partner that grows alongside the logistics heroes across Indonesia,” he said.
More than just a celebration, this event reflects Mitsubishi Fuso’s commitment to continually support its entire user ecosystem, from business owners to drivers who are at the frontlines of distribution every day. On this occasion, Mitsubishi Fuso also offered a special 5-liter oil purchase package for attending community members.
Furthermore, to welcome the community, Mitsubishi Fuso presented various forms of entertainment at its booth, including interactive games and special sessions featuring modified trucks. The event also served as a platform for sharing stories, experiences, and inspiration among fellow Canter Mania community members.
One community member, Dea Derek from Tasikmalaya, who runs a towing service business, shared that her family has been in the towing business since 1975, and they’ve always used Mitsubishi Fuso since her grandfather’s time.
“Because the truck is reliable and tough from back then until now, I use the Canter Euro 4. Since I first drove a truck in 2000, I’ve been using the 100ps Canter, and today I own a fleet of 17 Canters. I’ve had no problems, spare parts are widely available, and it performs strongly in mud and uphill terrains,” she said.
Another community member, Abah Rafa, who runs a vegetable business in Garut, said he has been using the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter since 1974.
“The Canter is comfortable to drive, stable, and powerful compared to others,” he said.
Beyond offering superior products, being part of the truck community with the highest sales in Indonesia also brings many benefits to Mitsubishi Fuso Canter truck community members.
“The benefit is that it strengthens the bond of brotherhood, and my towing truck is also used as a rescue vehicle for fellow Canter community members across Indonesia. I hope that in the future, Mitsubishi Fuso continues to improve its products,” added Dea Derek.
A similar sentiment was shared by Abah Rafa, who noted that as a community member, there’s a strong culture of mutual support when traveling. Additionally, the sense of togetherness fostered through events like anniversaries and national gatherings (Jamnas) helps members become even more connected.
Through this event, Mitsubishi Fuso hopes to continue strengthening emotional ties with the community while creating enjoyable and meaningful experiences for its members. The support and loyalty of the community play a crucial role in Mitsubishi Fuso’s journey to realize its vision as the Trusted Business Partner for people across Indonesia.
