Jakarta. éL Hotel Group held Monday free health check-ups in Pela Mampang as part of the company’s 11th anniversary celebrations.

Ajeng Dwiyatcita, the corporate marketing communications manager for éL Hotel Group, the free health checks were in partnership with Intibios. Aside from the locals, the local urban community officials and the workers at the public maintenance agency were among the participants. The check-ups were also part of éL Hotel Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

“We are checking people’s health conditions such as gouts, blood pressure, and blood sugar. We have held similar events since January 5 at éL Hotel Jakarta. As well as Kelapa Gading, Kebayoran, Mampang. We will go to Melawai the day after tomorrow,” Ajeng said.

The 11th-anniversary celebratory event embraced the theme “A Decade Plus One with Accomplishment and Growth”. As the name suggests,  éL Hotel Group will set up free medical check-up sites across 11 locations in Jakarta. The site in Pela Mampang will last for two days and is able to check on 50 people each day.

“The CSR program is meant for the stakeholders and everyone who serves the people in this rainy season. That is why we need to check on the health conditions of the public maintenance workers,” Rizki Wijaya, the secretary at the Pela Mampang ward, said.

Locals were excited about getting their health checks as they went to the site in the morning. Some public maintenance workers even visited the site after work.

“This program has really helped us. The cleaners have to deal with unsanitary things every day, especially in this rainy season. This is my first time in a long time to get my health checked, though I usually get it done at healthcare facilities,” Haryati, a public maintenance worker, said.

éL Hotel Group also recently celebrated its 11th anniversary with the Sekoci Foundation by donating school books to kids at the Gondangdia child-friendly public space (RPTRA) on Sunday.
