IFG Distributes 4,000 School Supplies for Students in North Sulawesi, Gorontalo
Jakarta. Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) and its holding members recently distributed 4,000 school supplies packages to elementary school children in Gorontalo, as well as North Sulawesi's Likupang, Kinilow, Tinoor.
The assistance is part of IFG's support to commemorate the sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia's first anniversary. It also illustrates the company's commitment to expanding educational access.
The program involves several IFG holding members, namely Jamkrindo, Askrindo, Jasa Raharja, and Jasindo.
"We want to provide tangible support to Indonesian children, so they maintain their enthusiasm for learning and have better opportunities to achieve a better future. Education is a crucial foundation for the nation's progress. We hope this collaboration within the state-owned enterprise [SOE] ecosystem will provide broader benefits to society," IFG President Director Hexana Tri Sasongko said.
The assistance is also part of IFG's implementation of environmental, social, and governance 9ESG) principles. From an ESG perspective, strengthening access to education is a social pillar that emphasizes the importance of the business sector's contribution to improving community welfare and sustainable development.
As a holding company for state-owned enterprises in the insurance, guarantee, and investment sectors, IFG consistently promotes various social responsibility programs focused on community empowerment, improving financial literacy, and supporting the education and development of the younger generation.
Through these initiatives, IFG strives to provide sustainable added value to society while strengthening the role of the financial industry in supporting national development.
