Indonesia Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (ICDX) celebrates its 16th anniversary in Jakarta on July 9, 2025.

Jakarta. The Indonesia Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (ICDX) has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the country's three regulators overseeing the derivatives trading market: the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia, and the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI). This commitment is reflected in the theme of ICDX’s 16th anniversary: “Advancing Synergy, A New Hope.”

“We believe this theme embodies our spirit to continue synergizing with all stakeholders, including the government through its regulatory bodies, market players, and other relevant parties. We believe synergy is the key to realizing a deep, inclusive, and sustainable financial and commodity market that will support national economic growth,” said Fajar Wibhiyadi, President Director of ICDX.

“To that end, ICDX Group is ready to synergize and collaborate. We are committed to continuously innovating to create a fundamentally integrated ecosystem that supports the deepening of Indonesia’s financial and commodity markets,” he added.

Meanwhile, Megain Widjaja, President Director of the Indonesia Clearing House (ICH), noted that Indonesia’s financial market holds significant growth potential, which can be unlocked by realizing the grand vision of deepening the national financial market.

“The key lies in strengthening capacity, strategic collaboration, and synergy among all stakeholders,” he said.

Megain added that ICH is ready to collaborate with the authorities --Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, and BAPPEBTI-- to help expand the potential of financial markets, particularly in money market derivatives, securities derivatives, and commodity derivatives.

The division of regulatory authority over derivatives trading aligns with Law No. 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (PPSK). Under this law, OJK oversees securities derivatives, Bank Indonesia supervises money market and foreign exchange derivatives, while BAPPEBTI regulates commodity derivatives.
