Jakarta. GoSend, the on-demand logistics service from Gojek  has launched a new feature called Delivery Code Kode Terima Paket, a delivery verification code designed to further enhance the security of its instant delivery service. The feature represents a forward step in setting a new benchmark for delivery safety, especially for high-value shipments such as important documents and electronic devices.

Designed as an additional layer of protection, the feature ensures that packages are handed only to the intended recipient. The feature is optional, completely free of charge, and can be activated based on users’ needs.

It complements GoSend’s existing safety ecosystem, which includes shipment insurance coverage of up to Rp 50 million and real-time tracking capabilities, providing users with greater peace of mind throughout the delivery process.

When activated, the feature generates a unique four-digit one-time password (OTP) that must be presented to the driver upon delivery. Both senders and recipients receive the code and are required to share it with the driver once the package has been successfully received. The delivery can only be completed after the correct code is entered, ensuring the package reaches the right hands.

Sohan Vaswani, Head of Logistics at Gojek, said the introduction of the feature is a strategic move to strengthen user trust amid rising demand for fast and secure deliveries.

“As more people rely on instant delivery services to support their daily needs — whether for household, business, or personal purposes — security becomes just as important as speed. Instant delivery offers both, with a practical process and direct handover from sender to recipient. With verified driver partners and insurance protection already in place, the Delivery Code or Kode Terima Paket adds another layer of assurance to make deliveries even more secure,” he explained.

Telecommunications and cybersecurity expert Heru Sutadi, Executive Director of ICT Institute, highlighted the importance of OTP-based verification systems in the future of instant logistics.

“In a fast-paced delivery industry, consumers demand not only speed but also certainty and security. OTP-based verification, like GoSend’s Delivery Code, is highly relevant in addressing operational challenges in the field. It has the potential to become a best practice and even a new standard—particularly for high-value or sensitive deliveries. Moreover, OTP systems are already familiar to users, making adoption easier,” he said.

How to Use the Delivery Code  Feature:
Users can activate Kode Terima Paket on the GoSend order page. Once enabled, a four-digit code will be generated and displayed in the Gojek app for both the sender and recipient. A group chat feature is also automatically created to facilitate communication between the sender, recipient, and driver. If the recipient does not use the Gojek app, the code can be shared via messaging services or manually by the sender.

Upon delivery, the sender or recipient must provide the code to the driver, who can only complete the order after entering the correct code.

The feature has already been welcomed by businesses that rely on secure deliveries. Neysa Soediro, Co-Founder of Ruci Art Space, a contemporary art community space in Jakarta, said the feature adds a critical layer of assurance when sending high-value artworks.

“For us, every artwork carries deeply personal value and often cannot be measured purely in monetary terms. That’s why the Delivery Code feature from GoSend is extremely helpful in ensuring each piece is safely delivered to the right recipient,” she said.

With this innovation, GoSend reinforces its commitment to delivering fast, secure, and reliable logistics services for millions of users across Indonesia, while setting a new standard for the instant delivery industry.
