Jakarta. PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) reaffirmed its commitment to providing accessible and inclusive banking services for all customers, including persons with disabilities. Marking the 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, BSI showcased a range of disability-friendly facilities across its branches, including wheelchairs, accessible ramps, Braille-equipped ATMs, disability-friendly restrooms, responsive e-channel services, and the BSI Call 14040 hotline.

To commemorate the occasion, BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo, accompanied by BSI Director of Retail Banking Kemas Erwan Husainy and SEVP Operations Ana Nurul Khayati, greeted customers with disabilities at the bank’s head office on Jl. Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta. Meanwhile, Deputy President Director Bob Tyasika Ananta and SEVP Funding & Transaction Ida Triana Widowati met customers at BSI Tower on Medan Merdeka Selatan. Similar activities were held nationwide, including in Bandung, where BSI Director of Sales and Distribution Anton Sukarna interacted with customers at local service offices.

As part of the celebration, BSI presented savings rewards and souvenirs crafted by persons with disabilities to visiting customers. BSI’s leadership also met with employees with disabilities working within the organization, reflecting the bank’s commitment to reducing inequalities in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 10.

According to Anggoro, all BSI branches, totaling approximately 1,032 outlets, are now fully accessible for customers with disabilities, equipped with ramps and accessible restrooms. Additionally, around 75 percent of BSI’s 4,500 ATM/CRM machines feature Braille support to assist visually impaired customers in conducting transactions independently.

BSI also ensures easy access through a wide range of e-channels, including BSI Call 14040, BYOND by BSI, BSI Net Banking, and more than 100,000 BSI Agents operating across Indonesia.

“We wish all our friends with disabilities a meaningful International Day of Persons with Disabilities. We hope you continue to thrive, create, and live independently. As an inclusive sharia bank, BSI is committed to accelerating accessible services for all customers, including those with disabilities,” Anggoro said.

He added that BSI continues to provide employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, with at least 13 employees currently working in various roles across the bank. “We also support disability-led MSMEs in collaboration with BSI Maslahat and the BSI Agent ecosystem. Our aspiration is for BSI to be a financial, social, and spiritual partner for all stakeholders through inclusive services.”

Every year, BSI also provides free homecoming (mudik) facilities for persons with disabilities during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, offering specially equipped transportation to help them reunite with their families.

Service excellence remains a core focus for BSI. The bank maintains multiple communication channels for customers and regularly updates financial information through its website, www.bankbsi.co.id, as well as official social media platforms:
