BNI Launches Shopping Race in 13 Cities to Boost Digital Use
Jakarta. State lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, is once again offering a unique and educational shopping experience through the BNI Shopping Race 2025 Phase 3, held simultaneously across 13 major cities on Saturday, Nov. 15. The program not only brings the excitement of competition but also supports BNI’s efforts to enhance digital literacy and digital transaction usage nationwide.
The BNI Shopping Race takes place in Medan, Batam, Palembang, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Makassar, Bali, Balikpapan, Manado, Jayapura, Yogyakarta, and Malang. The event is supported by well-known grocery merchants, including Brastagi Gatsu Medan, Royal Supermarket Batam, JM Plaju Palembang, Super Indo in Bandung, Semarang, and Malang, Hokky Surabaya, Lotte Mart Makassar, Tiara Dewata Soputan Bali, Yova Mart Balikpapan, Fresh Mart Manado, Saga Supermarket Jayapura, and Luwes Solo.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the program is designed not only as entertainment but also as an educational platform to help the public become more familiar with BNI’s digital transaction services.
“Through the BNI Shopping Race, we want to provide a fun shopping experience while expanding public understanding of the benefits of digital transactions. This is part of BNI’s efforts to support the national non-cash movement and accelerate financial inclusion,” Okki said in a written statement.
Each Shopping Race location involves 12 selected participants: four BNI debit card users, four BNI credit card users, and four active wondr by BNI users who transacted during the program period. Participants are challenged to complete shopping missions using BNI’s transaction products for a chance to win millions of rupiah in shopping prizes.
BNI has prepared attractive rewards for participants in each category. The first-place winner receives Rp 1.2 million, the second place Rp 1 million, the third place Rp 800,000, and the fourth place Rp 600,000. The prizes serve as appreciation for participants’ enthusiasm and as motivation to further utilize digital transactions.
According to Okki, the program also serves as a moment for BNI to engage more closely with communities across regions while introducing the convenience of opening digital accounts through the wondr by BNI app.
“We want every interaction with BNI to be more than just about transactions, it should also be a meaningful experience that builds long-term emotional connections with customers,” Okki said.
Through the BNI Shopping Race 2025, BNI continues to reinforce its commitment to expanding financial inclusion, boosting digital literacy, and providing transaction services that are easy, secure, and relevant to the needs of modern consumers across Indonesia.
