Bank Raya Turns 36 as Business Flourishes

Jakarta. Digital banking company Bank Raya is turning 36 this year, and the company is eyeing stronger growth as it aims to reach as many Indonesians as possible.

Bank Raya is a subsidiary of the state-owned bank BRI. Over the past year, the company has launched a number of innovations to enhance its Raya App. Bank Raya’s president director, Ida Bagus Ketut Subagi, said that the anniversary reflected its commitment to becoming a mainstay for digital banking transactions.

Bank Raya’s flagship features include the so-called Saku Bisnis, a solution for managing the finances of business owners in developing their businesses. Customers can now create up to three QRIS business accounts simultaneously within a single account. There is also a Cashier feature that can be used by up to five cashiers in each store. It also supports the creation of five Saku Bisnis accounts within a single account. As many as 10,000 businesses across various cities have used Saku Bisnis as of August 2025.

Saku Bisnis is also integrated with QRIS Bisnis, which now allows same-day disbursement through four disbursement batches per day, ensuring businesses don't have to wait long to receive funds for their business operations. This led to up to 300 percent growth in QRIS Bisnis, reaching 3.3 million transactions. The total transaction volume of QRIS Bisnis rose 94 percent year-on-year (yoy), reaching Rp 13.8 billion ($830,117).

Bank Raya also introduced the Visa Virtual Debit Card in the second half of 2025. Customers can request a virtual debit card online through the Raya App without having to visit a Community Branch. This card allows customers to make transactions across the online merchant network, including e-commerce, online transportation platforms, and various other online platforms, both domestically and internationally.

From a payment perspective, Bank Raya also offers a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) feature. Raya Paylater is available for Raya app users, offering additional financing options with transparent and flexible payment terms, with a maximum limit of Rp 5 million.

Positive Performance
Bank Raya successfully posted a net profit of Rp 32.93 billion in the second quarter of 2025, up 64.5 percent yoy. Total loans also jumped 7.4 percent yoy. This became a boon for Bank Raya’s assets, which stood at Rp 13.34 trillion over the same period. Digital credit disbursement also reached Rp 13.42 trillion in the second quarter of 2025, up by 64.8 percent yoy. As a result, Bank Raya’s outstanding digital credit stood at Rp 2.62 trillion, marking a 79.2 percent yoy growth.
