Bank Mandiri Grants Rp 4 Trillion Bullet Term Loan to Chandra Asri Group
Jakarta. Chandra Asri Pacific has inked a bullet term loan facility agreement worth Rp 4 trillion from Bank Mandiri.
The loan has a 7-year tenor and will go into boosting the businesses under the company’s infrastructure investment arm, PT Chandra Daya Investasi (CDI).
Signing the agreement were Chandra Asri Group’s chief financial officer Andre Khor and Bank Mandiri’s senior vice president for corporate banking Helmy Afrisa Nugroho.
According to a press release, Chandra Asri Group will allocate the funds to support CDI’s general operations and business sustainability, as well as to strengthen the company's working capital.
"In line with Chandra Asri Group's vision to provide infrastructure solutions for the strategic development of sectors in Indonesia, we are delighted to have been entrusted with the bullet term loan facility from Bank Mandiri. This facility reflects Bank Mandiri's confidence in achieving exponential growth through infrastructure asset optimization and future expansion focused on power generation and distribution, water processing, as well as tank and jetty management," Chandra Asri Group’s president director, and chief executive officer Erwin Ciputra was quoted as saying in a press statement.
Helmy said that the collaboration showed Bank Mandiri’s commitment to promoting sustainable business growth. This includes embracing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects of its business activities, including in the credit distribution process.
“The signing of this term loan facility agreement is a form of Bank Mandiri’s commitment to CDI and Chandra Asri Group to strengthen the funding aspect in running and developing CDI’s business in the future,” Helmy said.
Chandra Asri Group through CDI, a joint-venture subsidiary with EGCO holding a 30 percent stake, vows to long-term, stable, and sustainable profits through robust infrastructure business growth.
CDI's core portfolio includes key assets supporting industrial growth, such as Indonesia's largest and only integrated water company, and a combined cycle power plant and environmentally friendly power plant with a capacity of 200 MW through a strategic partnership with Posco International, a leading trading company in South Korea. CDI also provides tank leasing services and integrated jetty management in prominent industrial areas on Java Island.
