Jakarta. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police officially declared YA as a suspect in the case of the death of 6-year-old Raden  Andante "Dante" Khalif Pramudityo, the son of actress Tamara Tyasmara and her former husband DJ Angger Dimas. YA is Tamara's partner and reportedly attended the funeral.

"The investigators have arrested Mr. YA (Tamara's boyfriend) in connection with the incident of the death of Tamara's son," said Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Director, Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, in his statement on Friday.

Ade said that YA was arrested at his residence in Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta, and would be immediately interrogated as a suspect in Dante's death case. 

Little is known about YA, but a video circulating on social media shows YA being filmed in the same car as the celebrity Raffi Ahmad, who is accused of money laundering by the anti-corruption group National Corruption Watch.

The investigative team along with the suspect arrived at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police headquarters on Friday around 10:00 AM local time. YA was immediately taken to the examination room by the investigators on the second floor of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Directorate building.

A source who attended Dante's funeral told the Jakarta Globe that the suspect YA attended Dante's funeral some time ago. "Hey, the fingers are still visible (from the shroud)," YA said to Angger when he buried his beloved child, as told by the source.

In his Instagram story post, Angger Dimas expressed his gratitude to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police and all parties who helped uncover this case. Angger Dimas also wrote a sentence implying that the arrest of Tamara's partner is just the beginning. Could there be other suspects?

"One arrested, thank you," Angger Dimas wrote in his Instagram story.

"This is just a beginning," Dimas continued after expressing his gratitude, including the hashtag #JusticeForDante that he has been promoting since the mysterious death of his son.

The hashtag has emerged on social media as a call for truth, gaining momentum among public figures and fellow musicians. Renowned international DJs such as Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, and Nervo, who have collaborated with Angger, are amplifying the message.

Following the news of this arrest, Tamara immediately posted a gratitude statement in Arabic on her private Instagram story.

"Alhamdulillah rabbil 'alamin," Tamara wrote in Arabic on Friday.

Previously, Dante was declared drowned in the swimming pool of Tirtamas Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024. From the CCTV footage, Tamara's partner was seen at the crime scene.
