Jakarta. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is set to replace Justice and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly in a cabinet shake-up on Monday.

Ari Dwipayana, a senior aide to the president, said that the cabinet reshuffle would take place on Monday precisely at 9.30 a.m.

“Mr. President is set to appoint several ministers, a deputy minister, and some heads of government agencies at the State Palace,” Ari said.

Jokowi will appoint new ministers for justice, energy, as well as investment departments. The president will also announce a new communications deputy minister. He will also unveil the new heads of the National Nutrition Body, the Food and Drug Regulatory Agency, as well as the Presidential Communications Office. According to Ari, the appointments are necessary for an “effective and smooth transition of power” as Jokowi’s successor Prabowo Subianto will take office in October.

Ari, however, did not reveal the names of the government officials who would get appointed.

Yasonna is a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P). Rumor has been circulating that Jokowi will oust ministers from PDI-P and the Nasdem Party. Energy Minister Arifin Tasrif and Environment Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar are rumored to get reshuffled. However, the latest reports showed that Siti Nurbaya would likely get to keep her ministerial post.

Gerindra politician Supratman Andi Agtas will reportedly become the new justice minister. Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia is rumored to take over Arifin’s job. Jokowi will also likely pick Rosan Roeslani as the investment minister. Rosan was the chair of Prabowo's campaign team in the recent election.
