R&B Sensation Agnez Mo Speaks on Mental Health
Tangerang. R&B sensation Agnez Mo shared insights on maintaining her mental and emotional well-being. According to her, steering clear of toxic work environments is crucial for avoiding stress.
"Many illnesses in life are closely linked to stress. Stress can trigger various other ailments," Agnez said during her visit to the BTV office in the Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 (PIK) area of Tangerang, Banten, on Monday.
Acknowledging the most effective way to combat stress, Agnez emphasized the importance of ensuring that one's surroundings, friends, work, and overall situation are not toxic.
"You have to ask yourself whether you want to live in a toxic work environment, have toxic friends, or be in toxic situations. If not, you have to exit those situations to protect your mental health," she added.
"Should you find it challenging to leave, then you must strive to change the circumstances according to your hopes and desires. If you're unable to fight for a comfortable environment, then it's time to exit," she asserted.
Agnez said toxic environments will always exist in life. Therefore, she encouraged everyone to persist in maintaining their mental health.
"The main point is always seeking ways to exit those situations. For me, my life's goal is to achieve success while maintaining good mental health, so I will distance myself from toxic elements to continue creating and achieving without worrying about others," she concluded.
Agnez also encourages the younger generation in Indonesia to pursue creativity and steer clear of things that can harm mental health.
"To stay healthy, don't just think about and gossip about others, also avoid negative thinking. It's that simple," she said.
Agnez Mo holds the record for the most awards won by an Indonesian artist, with over 190 accolades including the Anugerah Musik Indonesia, Panasonic Awards, Nickelodeon Indonesia Kids' Choice Awards, MTV Indonesia Awards, Mnet Asian Music Award, among others.
