The festival's kickoff at Wiriadinata Air Field saw a spirited Zumba session, with thousands of enthusiastic participants, mainly women, grooving to the beats, especially to Ade Astrid's "Inget ka Mantan."

Residents like Leli, 29, from Cikalang, found the event not only enjoyable but also beneficial for health, citing the calorie-burning and youth-preserving effects of Zumba.

"It's fun, burns calories, and keeps the body healthy. The Zumba session was really lively," said Leli during the Zumba session.

Giri Mahdalena echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the fitness and health benefits of Zumba, fueled by the uplifting music.

These Zumba enthusiasts are anticipated to continue the festivities at the Semesta Berpesta event, eagerly awaiting the music concert scheduled for 4:15 p.m.

Semesta Berpesta, promoted by  PT Sinar Kreatif Nusantara and BTV, has been a success in 12 cities across Indonesia in previous years, with Tasikmalaya chosen as the inaugural city for the 2024 series.
