Prajogo Pangestu Buys Rp 9.6 Billion Worth of Barito Renewables Energy
Jakarta. Indonesian tycoon Prajogo Pangestu has increased his stake in Barito Renewables Energy (BREN) after snapping up one million shares in a series of on-market transactions on Jan. 15, 2026.
According to a disclosure filed with the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday, Prajogo purchased the shares at prices ranging from Rp 9,525 to Rp 9,675 per share, spending a total of Rp 9.6 billion ($566,425).
The largest chunk of the purchase comprised 262,000 shares at Rp 9,650 per share, followed by 238,500 shares at Rp 9,600. Other transactions included 101,700 shares at Rp 9,575; 102,700 shares at Rp 9,625; 107,600 shares at Rp 9,525; 96,700 shares at Rp 9,675; and 90,800 shares at Rp 9,550.
Prajogo said the transactions were conducted for personal investment purposes.
Following the purchases, his ownership in BREN edged up to 140,789,700 shares, equivalent to 0.105%, from 139,789,700 shares or 0.104% previously.
BREN shares were trading 1.03% lower at Rp 9,600 during the first session of Monday’s trading.
