Jakarta. Barito Renewables Energy (BREN) said on Tuesday that its subsidiary, Star Energy Group Holdings Pte. Ltd., has secured a term loan facility of up to $300 million from Bangkok Bank to finance the expansion of its geothermal business in Indonesia.

According to a disclosure filed with the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the financing will support the development of the company's geothermal projects in the Suoh Sekincau and Hamiding prospect areas.

The company said the facility will strengthen the group's funding flexibility, support capital expenditure and project development, improve liquidity management, and enhance its financing capacity to sustain long-term growth in its geothermal and power generation businesses.

The financing package consists of two tranches.

Facility A, valued at up to $105 million, will fund the development of the Suoh Sekincau geothermal prospect in Sumatra.

Facility B, amounting to up to $195 million, includes up to $105 million in equity financing for the Suoh Sekincau geothermal project through Star Energy Suoh Sekincau (SEGSS), and up to $90 million in equity financing for the Hamiding geothermal prospect in Maluku through Star Energy Geothermal Indonesia (SEGI).

In the filing, Corporate Secretary Randhika Oktaviana said that while the financing qualifies as a material transaction under Indonesian capital market regulations, it is not expected to have a significant impact on Barito Renewables' operations or business continuity.

The financing constitutes a material transaction under Indonesian capital market regulations because its value is equivalent to about 33.95% of Barito Renewables' equity, based on its audited 2025 financial statements.
