Jakarta. Garuda Indonesia's Board of Commissioners has temporarily suspended Reza Aulia Hakim from his position as commercial director, with the flag carrier providing no explanation for the decision.

"The Board of Commissioners has decided to temporarily suspend Reza Aulia Hakim from his position as the company's Commercial Director effective Aug. 14, 2026," Corporate Secretary Andreas Tumpal Hutapea said in an official disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Thursday.

Garuda said one of its existing directors would be appointed as acting commercial director following Reza's suspension.

Andreas said the decision would have no direct impact on the airline's operations.

Reza was appointed Garuda's commercial director on June 30, 2025, following a decision at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. His term was originally scheduled to run until the company's fifth annual general meeting following his appointment.

Before joining Garuda's board, Reza served as commercial director at Citilink Indonesia and commercial director at ground-handling company Gapura Angkasa.

He also owns 16,841 shares in Garuda, whose shares trade on the IDX under the ticker GIAA.

Garuda shares fell 2.7%, or 2 points, to Rp 72 on Thursday, the same day the suspension was disclosed.

Despite Thursday's decline, GIAA shares have gained 35.85% over the past week.
