B-Universe Announces 2025 ESG Award Winners

Jakarta. Thirty-three Indonesian companies were recognized on Thursday for their leadership in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices at the 2025 ESG Appreciation Awards hosted by media group B-Universe.

The annual event, held at Hotel Mulia in Jakarta, highlights private and state-owned institutions that integrate sustainability into their operations, setting national benchmarks for responsible business conduct.

B-Universe Executive Chairman Enggartiasto Lukita said the awards serve as an important gauge of how companies and government-linked entities are responding to the mounting challenges of climate change, extreme weather, and global uncertainty.

“This is a sincere recognition from B-Universe on behalf of the public, awarded through a highly independent judging process,” Enggartiasto said. “Our jury members have deep experience and a strong commitment to delivering credible assessments.”

He said that ESG adoption is increasingly vital as shifting climate risks and economic volatility pressure institutions to strengthen governance, reduce environmental footprints, and invest in social impact.

The awards were divided into eight categories recognizing excellence in areas ranging from governance training to eco-innovation and community empowerment.
