Jakarta. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) reported a net profit of Rp 10.1 trillion ($619 million) in the first half of 2025, marking a 5.6 percent year-on-year decline.

According to its financial report released on Friday, BNI’s net interest income rose 2.3 percent to Rp 19.52 trillion, while total lending grew 7.1 percent to Rp 778.7 trillion.

Consumer loans increased by 10.7 percent to Rp 147 trillion, driven by an 11.7 percent rise in personal loans to Rp 60.1 trillion and a 9.9 percent increase in mortgage lending to Rp 68.4 trillion.

“Amid global uncertainties and tight liquidity in the banking sector, Bank Negara Indonesia still recorded solid performance in the first half of 2025,” said BNI Deputy President Director Alexandra Askandar in a statement.
