Jakarta. Senior minister Airlangga Hartarto said Thursday that Indonesia attracted over Rp 1.4 quadrillion or $84.5 billion in investments so far this year as of the third quarter of 2025, as the government inched closer to its annual target.

Indonesia has set a target of bringing in Rp 1.9 quadrillion in investments from home and abroad throughout 2025. Government data showed that the investments had reached Rp 942.9 trillion as of the first half. Speaking at the 2025 Investor Daily Summit, Airlangga revealed that investors’ interest in Indonesia remained high despite global uncertainties.

“Investments in the first half of 2025 grew in line with our target, rising 13.6 percent year-on-year to around Rp 943 trillion. The total investments are projected to exceed Rp 1.4 quadrillion as of the third quarter,” Airlangga told Indonesia’s biggest investment forum on Thursday.

"So I think this builds our fundamentals in investments.”

The Investment Ministry is expected to make an official announcement for the third quarter achievements in the near future. Between January and June, foreign direct investment inflows accounted for 54.1 percent of the total investments received over the said period. The top 5 Indonesia’s biggest foreign investors in the first half were as follows: Singapore ($8.8 billion); Hong Kong ($4.6 billion); China ($3.6 billion); Malaysia ($1.7 billion), and Japan ($1.6 billion).
