A huge poster with the words "Gagalkan Omnibus Law" ("Scrap the Omnibus Laws") across it was seen during a student protest in Yogyakarta on Monday. The protest was centered around Gejayan, a popular spot for demonstration close to university campuses. The students say the government-sponsored omnibus bills, due to be passed by the House of Representatives this year, are too heavily weighted against workers and will allow companies to ignore their rights.
