Jakarta. Apple’s latest iPhones are edging closer to Indonesia, with the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and foldable iPhone Duo securing 40% domestic component certifications, a key step before local sales can begin.

Data from the Industry Ministry’s domestic component (TKDN) certification database showed the three devices were registered under Apple Indonesia as of Wednesday (Sept. 16, 2026). They carry model numbers A3714, A3717 and A3720, respectively, all with TKDN scores of 40%.

Apple’s official certification database identifies A3714 as the iPhone 18 Pro, A3717 as the iPhone 18 Pro Max and A3720 as the iPhone Duo.

The certification marks progress in Apple’s preparations to bring the devices to Indonesia, although it does not mean consumers can buy them yet. Apple still needs to complete other certification and regulatory requirements before officially selling the devices in the country.

Foldable iPhone Duo Draws Attention
The iPhone Duo stands out among the three as Apple’s first entry into the foldable smartphone segment and its first foldable iPhone.

Its appearance in Indonesia’s TKDN database signals that Apple has begun preparing the device for the local market, although the company has yet to confirm an official Indonesian launch date.

Apple has only said the iPhone Duo “will be coming soon to Indonesia.” The device will be available in Star White and Night Sky, with storage options ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, meanwhile, are part of Apple’s latest flagship lineup.

As of Wednesday, Apple had not announced official Indonesian release dates or local prices for any of the three models.

When Could the new iPhones Arrive?
The iPhone Duo is scheduled to enter pre-orders globally on Oct. 16, 2026, with sales beginning Oct. 23 in markets with Apple Stores.

Indonesia has typically received new iPhone models about a month after their global launch, suggesting the iPhone Duo could reach the country around November. However, Apple has not confirmed that timeline.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to arrive earlier. Globally, pre-orders for the two models began Sept. 12, with sales scheduled to start Sept. 18 across more than 65 countries and regions, including Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Apple’s launch schedule for the iPhone 17 series offers a reference point for the potential Indonesian rollout.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max were unveiled globally on Sept. 10, 2025. Apple opened pre-orders in Indonesia on Oct. 10 and began sales through authorized retailers on Oct. 17.

If Apple follows a similar timeline this year, pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could open in Indonesia in early to mid-October, followed by sales later that month.

That timeline, however, remains an estimate rather than an official Apple announcement.

For now, the 40% TKDN certification for the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo is the clearest indication yet that Apple is preparing its latest devices for the Indonesian market. Consumers will still have to wait for Apple to confirm local pre-orders, sales dates and prices.
