Jakarta. Swiss-Belhotel International is accelerating its expansion in Indonesia, signing a series of hotel management agreements in the first quarter of 2026 as part of its broader strategy to strengthen its nationwide presence.

The expansion marks a key milestone in the group’s growth in Indonesia, reflecting sustained investor confidence and reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering long-term value to local owners and partners.

The latest developments span major cities including Batam, Bali, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Bengkulu, Tangerang, Lampung, and Central Kalimantan. The company’s growing portfolio covers a wide range of market segments, from luxury and upper-upscale brands such as MĀUA by Swiss-Belhotel and Grand Swiss-Belhotel, to midscale offerings including Swiss-Belinn and Swiss-Belcourt, as well as economy-tier properties under Swiss-Belexpress.

This multi-brand approach is designed to capture rising demand across leisure, corporate, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) segments in Indonesia’s hospitality market.

“Indonesia remains one of the key pillars of our global vision. Continued trust from our partners, supported by our multi-brand approach, enables us to deliver solutions that are relevant, sustainable, and aligned with local market dynamics,” said Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International.

The expansion is supported by robust digital infrastructure, ensuring each property is integrated into Swiss-Belhotel International’s global systems and positioned competitively in an evolving market, said Matthew Faull, Executive Director and Senior Vice President of E-Commerce, IT & Distribution.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to prioritize strategic, quality-driven expansion, targeting more than 530 operating properties by 2033. Growth in Indonesia is expected to play a central role alongside expansion in other key markets, including China, Vietnam, Australasia, Malaysia, the Middle East, and Africa.

“Our priority is disciplined execution to ensure operational efficiency and consistent service quality, while building long-term value for our strategic partners across Indonesia,” said Ilkin Ilyaszade, Senior Vice President of Operations and Development.

With more than 120 hotels and projects across Indonesia and over 165 properties in 20 countries worldwide, Swiss-Belhotel International is well-positioned to drive sustainable growth and strengthen its role as a trusted global partner for investors and developers in the hospitality industry.
