PNM Medan’s Account Officer Shares Her Success Story
Jakarta. Geby, an account officer at the Medan branch of the financing firm PNM, recently shared her success story.
Geby came from humble beginnings. She is an only child, and her parents work as a cab driver and masseuse. Geby could not go to university after graduating from high school due to money problems. At the time, she decided to learn how to sew to help her mother.
During the pandemic, Geby and the family felt that Covid-19 had taken a severe economic toll. This motivated Geby to look for new jobs, and so she became an account officer at PNM Mekaar in Medan Denai 2 unit. This became a momentum to pursue her studies in university.
“I’m very grateful to have a career in PNM, as thanks to the company, I can continue my education through the scholarship at Universitas Terbuka and now I am in my 4th semester,” Geby said.
“If we are serious and enthusiastic about fighting to achieve our dreams, we can definitely achieve them, as long as we have a great will and sincere intentions,” she added.
Every day, Geby helps manages hundreds of customers every week. Geby also has great vocals and recently performed at the PNM 25th anniversary celebrations in Jakarta. It started with the PNM star competition in which employees could showcase their skills. Out of the 270 talented PNM people who registered, Geby was able to qualify for the final round and get 1st place.
PNM’s president director Arief Mulyadi said that the company would provide space for its best talents to improve their skills.
"We will give appreciation for the performance of talented PNM people, in the form of training or events that we organize to further explore their potential,” Arief said.
PNM is an institution that finances and assists underprivileged women in Indonesia through the ultra-micro business sector. PNM not only provides business capital but also provides various training to improve product quality. To date, there are 15.2 million PNM customers across Indonesia.
