Jakarta. Pertamina International Shipping, the marine logistics subholding of the state-run oil company, recently earned the Top Employer 2025 certification.

Top Employers Institute, a global institution on human resources (HR) management, had certified Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) after the latter passed all the rigorous assessment and verification. The freshly earned certification recognizes PIS' success in ensuring that all HR management policies, strategies, and practices meet the international standards set by TEI.

The certification process included the HR Best Practices Survey and data verification. TEI's global team also had an independent audit to assess the alignment of PIS's HR practices with the institution's standards.

Dewi Kurnia Salwa, the director of human resources and business support at PIS, attributed the new certification to teamwork.

"We remain committed to building a healthy, productive work environment oriented toward the development of superior talent to support business transformation and corporate sustainability," she said.

The 2025 Top Employer also shows that PIS is capable of competing globally. It also strengthens its position as a company that places people at the center of growth and solidifies its reputation as an employer of choice in the energy and maritime logistics industry. According to Dewi, PIS is seeking to become a world-class integrated marine logistics company, a goal that would require the company to become an employer of choice. To this end, the company intends to improve its employee retention and expand its global collaboration network in HR management.

The certification also serves as a benchmark for PIS to continuously refine its HR management strategies and policies to align with not just sustainability targets, but also Pertamina Group's AKHLAK (morals) core values.

"PIS remains committed to becoming a world-class integrated energy logistics and transportation company. PIS continues to deliver sustainable innovation, implement ESG [environmental, social, and governance] principles. We also wish to develop quality talents to strengthen national energy security and elevate Indonesia's reputation on the global stage," Dewi said.
